Hello, I have a 80cc engine from China.
I'm planning to buy a Minarelli vertical 70cc cylinder for it. https://bit.ly/3zY66fx
I saw that there is a Minarelli Vertical Short Rod Spacer for short rod http://bit.ly/40e4PeH
A friend of mine tells me that with a short rod i risk that the piston hitt the shaft.
I know that the spacer to the short rod and 40mm stroke is 6mm thick.
I also saw Clone Minarelli Vertical 70cc on Aliexpress and there was an 8mm thick spacer https://bit.ly/3UjT4zX
Please give me some advice on this, thank you in advance.
sorry for my english but I don't know english very well

How did you figure out that you have a short rod and a 40 mm stroke? The best way to proceed is try the cylinder and piston before you add the spacer.

Then you will know how thick of a spacer you need. You could possibly have to sand one spacer down.

Measure your piston pop up without spacer first and that should give you a rough idea of spacer thickness. Just remember to measure squish gap. Also you can add base gasket with spacer to accomplish proper timing etc.
