I was observing my yz85 yesterday when I noticed under the throttle stop screw on the carby it looked like the pilot screw (idle screw) was missing, I am a little confused because the bike starts first kick and idles perfect need help please.

Actually that's your idle air adjustment screw.

It lets you let more air in with the pilot jet (idle) or you can turn it in and reduce the extra air, thus helps with changing altitudes to keep the idle running well.

If it's fully out then your idle is running as lean as possible.

Good luck getting a replacement if you want one. I believe on the order sheet part 17 is the one you want with the spring, it should be a universal fit across the carb line. A good copy might have a matching thread. Poke around the spare parts it's going to have a tapered 45 degree tip on it to close the seal right.
