... its gone.

Also MIRROR or MIRRORS are essential too
All my builds have mirrors lol can someone point me to some phantom literature? It just seem like a crazy amount of oil and.i really don't wanna bomb my second phantom top end. I'm seriously doubting myself here. How can my garbage and budget stuff run so well but I grenade the top dog motor?

Go to Amazon and find good bicycle LED lighting powered by self contained rechargeable Li-On batteries...Everyone here that knows these motors knows not to try powering lights off the white wire because it screws up the spark to the motor to keep it running efficiently.

This is DIRECT from the manufacturer as well as from the ad on bicycle-engines.com.
This amount of oil is a MUST, not a suggestion.

Fuel/Oil Ratio
  • New Engine (<310 miles): 20:1
  • After Break In: 25:1

Duly noted. I was much nicer to the phantom than other motors.... I'm really confuse here. I brought I to speed once and nowhere near topped out. Went up 1 hill again nowhere near topped out. Things the other motors did with ease.... it appeared to have caught the side of the exhaust port but It's just so hard to call that definitively.

And when you put the new jug and piston together, you put some 2 cycle oil on your fingers and oil coat the inside of the cylinder and the piston rings before assembly.

I didn't do the ritual pour some down the whole before kick to life. Your right. I totally forgot. Man I hope that's what did her in.

There must have been either some metal in the crank case that was never flushed out during assembly that is in alot of these motors from metal filings during manufacturing or one of the ring pins might have fallen out or one of the wrist pin E clips fell out if not installed correctly.

Well the new top end comes the 25th and til then I have a yd100 for parts minus its cracked case an ld100 jug and case should arrive today and gaskets so I intend to experiment. Although I don't have the cdi for the stupid dual plug head. I will probably ditch it anyway my other ld has a gt5 head that appears to be fantastic so idk if I will buy a second or try something else. Any opinion on smolik? The appear legit.
