so I'm trying to look for a jack shift kit that would leave me with enough clearance on a Mongoose Argus ST 4-in Fat Tire Bike. I'm on little budget so I'm trying to figure out where I can find the best deal. And I've seen most mongoose fat tire bikes are similar and now I'm trying to get some help on where I could purchase a good kit or a kit between $120 to $130. DM me or reply to this I'm new to building and I'm kind of wanting to get my bike on the road

If using a China Girl, a shift kit would be expensive.

How much clearance do you need?

If not much, maybe reposition the engine.

If using a rear wheel sprocket, you could buy the jack shaft, two 10t sprockets and housing from sick bike parts.

I'm working with about 2" of clearance between the back tire and the seat bar. Might as well just go with the Jackshift and get 8" Shaft Key bar and a 5/8 lock collar for now. Then down the line as another project go with rear wheel sprocket. Got a buddy said he'll fabricate what I need but it'll be a good month till his down with a job site of his. No free time for him right now.

So low on clearance on everything lol. Jackshift is the hopeful thing I probably could do without spending alot of money over $200 for custom parts

I notice the head cooling fins force ya to put the engine in a certain position.
You can shave the head cooling fins off at an angle that will let you be able to reposition the engine if ya need to.

sick bike parts jackshaft is best, that fame can mount it but need custom engine mount, I also find that I need to machine custom tensioner parts for both sides as well as some shims to get the engine correctly so the drive gears miss the tire.

The sprockets slide on the jack shaft, so you’ll be able to align them easily.
So you should be able to mount the engine and jack shaft normally, then adjust the sprockets.
