Jesse James West Coast Chopper Bike Conversion

Best Bearings

I built this one like that.

It works GREAT. Smoothest drivetrain that I have. It is worth the extra weight.

It's looking great, man.

I'm doing something similar to a Jesse James frame myself. That and an OCC Stingray rear wheel frame fusion with a Sturmey Archer 3 Speed rear hub and an intermediate jack shaft. I'm staying in kit form using an HT engine. This frame will be a prototype, as I plan to manufacture custom new frames with jack shafts in this configuration using all new steel tubing.. just add HT engine kit, wheels, 3 speed, handlebars, fork, and seat. You can buy the Stingray stuff new or get a donor bike for cheap and swap it over.

I wanted to know more about your Excel file for gear configuration, as that is where I'm at now in my mind. I've got a couple gear calc files, but they don't do anything for weight, power curve, etc. So far, I'm at a 14:1 final drive ratio with the 20" tire.
25.5mph @6000 rpm in 2nd gear (1:1) , with 3rd gear as an overdrive to get me deep into the 30's. before engine mods.

Excellent work once again.
