Keyed switch

I was wanting to know if I hooked a electric keyed switch up like a kill switch would it work. Like on would be like not pressing the kill switch off would be like pressing the kill switch. Would it work ? Oh I’m talking about a 2 stroke engine here.

Yes. A keyed switch would work on 2 and 4-stroke engines.
OFF would kill the engine.

Probably "on" would kill the engine, they die when you complete the circuit not open it.

Anti-theft devise. Not many thieves know that stuff. I have a plain old toggle on my cart, I just turned the "ON" sign around.

I order a couple small keyed ones less than 20 bucks. Now need to come up a spot to mount them. Any idea’s ?

The handiest spot would be between the steer tube and cross bar. JB a piece of pipe for the switch to fit in.

I think that would be awesome spot .That's really a good spot close to cdi and magneto wiring!

You could use a cigarette lighter as a switch.

No one would think it's the ON switch.

Orrr, you could wire it thru a flashlight.
