Knight racer 49cc crank arms

I got a knight racer 49cc TL transmission 8G the original crank pedals that were with the hyper Cruiser the crank has more teeth than the ones that gas bikes sent me my question is do I just shorten the chain that came on the bike and go from there

Im not familiar with at engine but if your chain is to long, then yes you can shorten it.
