Hi everyone,
As I'm always.looking for ways to upgrade my bike I was wondering if I could use this spare KTM 250 2 stroke cdi I had lying around on my bike? Has anyone done anything like this before. Would it wreck my 80cc

I think about such things, too. Anything that improves spark is going to improve the bike.

I would think that the limiting component in the system would be the cheapo Chinese magneto. Timing curves aside, the mag can only deliver so much juice to charge the capacitor. How could it hurt anything?

Has anyone tried the "SUPERCHARGE CDI" from Gasbike.net. Or the "THUNDER CDI"? Just wondering if they are any better than stock or close to the same.

Most dirt bike CDI's depend on a second coil that is used as a timing reference by the CDI.
The type CDI that the chinese bicycle engine uses is not that type so the two are not compatible.
