Well we've got a strong runner here. The up to speed is... after initial assembly had some major leaks intake headgaskets and factory exhaust gasket. Intake=made my own gasket from felpro headgasket=removed one copper coat and re torque appears solid.exhaust= modded old yd100 gasket and installed studs solid. My questions 1 better head studs/hardware? I want the equivalent of arp for these suckered! Any recommendations? Head gasket sealing techniques? Crank balancing? Seen a**holes on the lube tube diy it. Is this as stupid as it sounds? Have an hp carb new and free. Worth my time. To some it up. Actual perfomance hardware? Head seal techniques? Crank balance diy? Free hp carb? Cmon I can take the abuse here. I like It more than wasting time or money. Bonus critque my build! Thanks in advance

Get at least one rear view mirror on it and ditch the fenders...The tabs the bolts go though to hold them on always rip away and cause what is shown in URL link below...Severe injury and/or death resulting.

Have an hp carb new and free....Free hp carb?
Don't waste your time with HP carbs on these bikes...Total PITA to try to tune em to your motor...Very few folks here in the forums have ever been able to do it successfully.

Front fender happen 5 mins ago lol good advise and rear view on the way. That's banaĺ

You are not the first and I'm sure your not the last to find this out the hard way...Just glad you were uninjured when it happened.

1: doesn't matter how much you spend, the weak spot is the case. Over torque and pull them right out, oh :poop: those studs cast 30 bucks.
Torque the head before each ride, it will seal in a few days.
Fenders: take them off or make some good supports.
HP carb, is it really free, if it's :poop:?

How is the vibrations? Some of the engines only vibrate at a certain RPM. If it's too bad then it will need attention.

Bike looks good. I'm in the process of putting some BMX bars on my MTB. My lower back doesn't like the riding position. I'll debut that in a few hours once I find a longer brake cable for the front.

Well u were right it's heads sealed tight now! And the vibration only appears at extreme rpms. No tach yet but it's only at wide open approaching 40mph. Lol I'm probably just being over cautious. I have an 8p that vibrates about same I been daily for about 3 months and she's rock solid.

Thanks man. Yan know a good seat goes a long way too but I'm looking at some ape hangers myself. Look forward to see ur build. I'm running an ld100 that I cleaned up,stock carb, billet intake,gt head Cooper gasket,f2 thrust I modded, 36t til my 28 comes. This thing pulls hard I'm impressed. With what I read I was worried but I honest don't understand t he hate for lds. Mine rips hard

I just use 66/80 type engines, so I can't attest to what the 100s will do. I run a 44 tooth, gets me up all the hills around here. I have to pedal too much with a 36. 40 or 50 km/h is all I ask.
