What an evening installed my first reed valve. Of couture there were ups and downs lol. The windowed piston I order didn't fit. My guess it was a 49mm some how. So I guess if I decide to reed valve old iron sides there that. So I grew a pair and windowed my piston... the exhaust side becuz I'm a bumbling idiot. Lol luckily a certain yd100 had my back and lent me it's piston. So I went full Unga bunga on it with a christmas tree bit in my drill and made a new window in under 5mins. Put the motor back together twice. Just for fun. Lol and success! Easiest start and smoother idle. The best part and extreme gain in power across the board... I keep hearing that I need a boost port to make gains. When that doesn't appears the cade at all.
TLDR-reed valve=very noticeable power gain across board. Why do I keep hearing the contrary? I gained alot without adding boost port.

It's all dependent on the engine wether or not a reed valve is better for performance. With the Phantom 85 it increases power without one, however not all engines are the same.

Huh... then why bother putting one on the phantom? Even distracted of power
