I registered my motorized bike as a moped. I added all the required equipment and had a TR-54 form from Secretary of State filled out by the police and then registered it.
According to MCL 257.32b a moped cannot be capable of speeds in excess of 30 mph.
I was traveling approximately 28 mph on a road with a speed limit of 35 mph and was pulled over for "impeding traffic"
I have searched the Michigan Secretary of State website, the Michigan State Police website and the Michigan Compiled Laws and see nowhere listed where I can legally ride (except for on the freeway)
Anyone got info?

Hmmm.......if it had been a car doing 28 in a 35, he probably wouldn't have been pulled over.

It makes me think that that cop was targeting you in particular.

What reason he might or might not have for that is nothing that the rest of us need to know. But you might profit by pondering it a bit. If that cop, or his pals, have it in for you, then life is gonna be miserable.

Maybe you can come to some kind of terms with these guys?
