OP here, regular account isn't currently working, I happen to have a 25cc homelite engine and a broken hoverboard. I could potentially make a small generator using the hoverboard motor and engine...Maybe he could get a little 2 stroke generator and power his e-bike with it!

It's probably one of the reasons why we have so few members in the New England states because the laws are so restrictive of gasoline type motorised bike motors...We have only 5 members in NH, 4 members each in Massachusetts, Maine and Rhode Island, 2 in Connecticut, and Zero in Vermont.

This is a legal rabbit hole you don't want to go down. When it comes to a power source what's immediately accepted is battery (chemical>electrical>mechanical); human or gravity regenerative and solar. All of which requires a battery. Using a combustion engine generator means without fuel the bike's electric drive system won't work. Many judges will view this as being no different than a gas engine drive system. Build you an ebike or wait until you're old enough to get a license.
This is very true, If its a hybrid "brew" of gas to power the electric, it would be illegal in all of New England, not just NH.
Good to know. So what you're saying is, the bike can't use gasoline at all to be an ebike?
