Looking to upgrade the Front Forks on a 26inch Beach Cruiser Any recommendations???

So I have a 26inch Beach Cruiser with a 80/66cc Anbull 2 Stroke. This Friday I'm order a bunch more parts for it and I wanted to upgrade the stock forks to something better. I only use the bike for on-road use but some parts of the city are sketchy so I wanted to get something that can withstand the crappier areas.

I'm using a "over kill, under use" approach when it comes to this build. for example my thinking is if something is meant for a level 20 stress load but I'm only putting it under 10-12 stress load then it should never really come close to failure.

So I'd like to be able to find something that can withstand some serious abuse, even if it's never going to see it, but will give me a very comfortable ride. My front rim is disc brake ready, so I don't mind converting it if I have to. It currently uses a rim brake system.

What brand beach Cruiser? What kind of brakes are you running?

Incase you haven't heard already, remove the coaster brake and run rim brakes at least, and remove the fenders please!

background: I originally picked this pick up in Inglewood back in 2021. It was originally equipped with a used black 80/66cc Engine (it was black and smaller then what I currently have on here). It came completely stock outside of the kit and to be honest it was a used engine/bike. Had leak issues etc. It also only came with a coaster brake and was a single speed. It originally came with a 36 tooth sprocket. It had come with a 3L tank (which recently sprung a leak, so I put on the .5 L tank for now).

I needed transportation at the time and was the only thing I could afford. It came with completely different set of handle bars (straight black handles, crappier style kickstand). I ended up taking parts of another beach cruiser I had and putting them on this one.

First rear wheel was replaced when the OG (Stock bike wheel) bent while rolling around LA. The original Engine then blew up a year or 2 later in the mean heats of Arizona. because I had ran it too lean and I had not done any real modifications. The bike currently sits as follows

Name: Thunderbird
Frame: Firmstrong Beach Cruiser, with Cranbrook beach cruiser handle bars, and Cranbrook kickstand.
Engine Platform: Anbull 80/66cc engine kit (currently using stock intake, Carb with alternative throttle set, this set had embossed eagles lol).
Engine Modifications: CNC High Compression Head (for cooling), Pull Start with an Anodized Billet Aluminum Handle from Cobra Handles (cheap plastic one broke after literally 3 pulls). Upgraded Heavy Duty CDI/Magneto, with upgraded spark plug.

Exhaust: Stock Exhaust slightly modified (cut a small portion of the baffle pipe, I'm ordering a real MZ65 Pipe tomorrow for it)
Current Gear Ratio: 10/40 (originally came 10/36), the pedal portion is completely removed, I upgraded to a 40 to make hills/inclines/take off easier for the engine to bear.
Breaking & Rims: 26inch 12guage Steel (front and rear) - Disc brake ready for both, currently uses beach cruiser rim brakes. The Tires are Maxxis Directionals, each are lined with a heavy duty inner tube to help prevent flats. The tubes themselves are also thicker heavy duty. I have that Tanus Armour but installation was such a b**ch, I just put it to the side and will try to install it later.

Additional Options: Front Light/Rear Light (upgrading rear to brake light with turn signals), Speedometer (non-working, replacing soon with a digital).

I've already developed a parts list and plan to drop a lot more money into this thing before I consider it finished. God help me when I get a real bike 😂

Picture of mine with telescopic forks,I got lucky to find some with a 1 inch tube to fit my old Murray bike.
I am dabling with the thought of getting some sort of telescopic type forks for my Hyper cruiser but with so many different types and measurements and prices and having to have a disk caliper already a part of this as well as what will fit the Hyper or doesn't, it is making the decision quite difficult for this OM who really hates things that complicates my life anymore than what it is already...I ilke things basic and simple and everything conspires against that for me...lol...lol.

Maybe a member who has a hyper and has put suspension forks on can tell you what to get

Look at performance bicycle, if you contact them and tell them what your bike is, they can recommend the right fork for your style of riding. “OM”??? Really? Lol
