Looks like it's time for a Minarelli cylinder...

would these be an improvement? they come in all sizes. but you need the special pliers. Home Depot has em.
not sure if they r steel tho. maybe not but I'm pretty sure I saw a piston kit offered with them

I have some internal snap rings that are the thinnest I could find. Had to file the gap and ended up getting into the holes. Sure somewhere has them but it's one of those thinks that's a b**ch to find. Thinking about putting a small grove in the piston like that video Street Ryderz posted.

The snap rings that I tried were too thin to fit in the groove properly and the larger area around the two holes still give the wrist pin leverage to pop it out, though it's probably less likely if they fit the groove well.

I'm going to make a video showing what I'm reffering to as that will help folks to understand better than my trying to verbaly explain it. I will try to post it for tomorrow.

Ok so i couldn't really edit the video the way I wanted, thought I could insert still's where applicable but windows movie maker wouldn't allow that or I couldn't figure it out LOL but here's the video and the still's are in order of their relation to the video.
