Low speeds

All kidding aside,Torque-a-verter.
I was wondering for a minute...I was beginning to think you were making assault vehicles for the Canadian military to begin US invasions across the Great Lakes...lol...lol...lol.

Ps...There is nothing much to be gained here in the US right now...Biden has screwed just us as badly, if not worse, as Trudeau has screwed you folks...lol...lol.

You should get a tachometer. Then when going up a hill make sure you're at least hitting 4500 rpm at full throttle. If you aren't hitting 4500 rpm then provide more pedal assist. This is where a multi-speed bicycle has an advantage over a single speed drivetrain. You have more options as to what pedal ratio will provide the most efficient assist.

If you still can't reach 4500 rpm then you need to switch out to a larger rear sprocket. Though you'll also be sacrificing some level ground speed.

Here's the one I burnt up during break in because I didn't realize it was slipping so bad. 75mm wide, like 12 I think for the center, 3 pads and springs
Alot of people have been complaining about those clutch shoe pads wearing out in 10 - 20 miles

I'm guessing at the China factory when they mixed the organic/resin pad compound the resin was bad,
If you got a warranty ask for another clutch Maybe if your lucky that one will be good, But I doubt it
Vendors will sell it until that bad batch of clutch shoes is all gone

I suggest getting a different clutch

He doesn't have enough reduction. His reduction is 13.2 \1 and for this engine it should be at least 18\1 for level ground use.

A higher engagement rpm, which if at peak torque could help. First, try a bigger rear sprocket, if its still burning up try a clutch that engages at 4-5k where the peak torque is.

If you do both and the problem remains, maybe lower gears on the pedaling side.
