Lower your Seat.

I'd love to figure out how in the freak you mounted that...

How is pedaling with the tractor seat after moving it back?? Prolly loads better.

I still really wanna do this!

It's a Wal Mart book rack that mounts on your seat post.
I drilled one hole, one bolt and the plastic rack keeps it all straight as I tighten down.
Then the mount has a rubber spacer for universal applications so that gives it some spring!

What kind of bolt is that, tho? It looks like that seat is riveted on the rack... professional look, even.

Does being that far back make pedaling easier, or is it still not optimal??

man, Large, that looks so cool.
it'd be like sitting in an old-time tractor,
that you have to peddle.

Have you tried changing its angle to see where its easier
to peddle.

tilting forwards I imagine won't be so good in some respects.
But may give you easier access to peddles.

now thats a trade off.

It's a carriage bolt c19.jpg with a big washer,a regular washer below the rack and double nuts. It's pretty sturdy cause like 4 spikes dig into the plastic rack when you tighten down the bolt.
The ride really shines when your cruising. You can ride for hours like this.
I find it easier to just stand up on the pedals when I need to pedal. It's harder to pedal sitting down for the seat prevents your legs from going below seat level.
I bet with shorter cranks I can pedal sitting down.

So is it any good?
In a word,No.....it's too small & too flexible.
I'm convinced the only really good seat i'm gonna find is going to have to be LARGE...large with descent sorta padding & springs that actually work(not just there for cosmetic reasons).......flat too so u can swap bum positions on long rides.
I'm still looking,look look look. :)
