Lucked Out on this One!

I'm allways looking at used bikes for sale just incase something good pops up.When I saw this listed I thought the owner must have just gave up for whatever reason and or is hard up for cash because when I started to add up the total cost in parts of what I received OMG! There is well over $1,600 worth of parts here and I paid $400 Canadain thats $310 U.S. For a tank frame with Girvin front suspention a Strumey Archer front drum hub laced with 12 gauge spokes in a really wide unknown rim,A Strumey Archer rear 2 speed hub agian laced with 12 gauge spokes in an aluminum rim along with a disk hub front aluminum rim.A hub adaptor with 40t,sprung chain tensioner,on a brand new Grubee Skyhawk with an R.S.E. head and a gt6 (GasBike) head speed carb and a cns carb, cnc intake, volosity stack,Lightning cdi and coil, along with gears cables and some odds and ends LOL.I also recived a triple tree suspension fork,a reg suspension fork and a twisted springer fork looks like it might only be for a 20" wheel though not sure yet.

Anyone have any experience with these Girvin vector suspension forks?I took them all apart and cleaned them up,polished the stem and lower pivot and the upper plate and replaced the gromet/spacers then rebuilt the shock. When reassembled I made sure that everything moved freely and smooth and it all works great except that I tought this fork was a linear vertical movement and that's not what they do!They compress inwards more than anything, there is only slight vertical lift.

No experience; but if that's the case then they're useless. Auction them off, lol. ;)

LOL I really dont see what the hype for this syle of fork is,,,But folks want it, The cheapest found on ebay like it were 235 U.S. and I got them cheap so just wanted to do a build with late model board tracker look. But no disk brake tabs limited travel and really only slightly lighter so other than that mechainical look I dont get it,Apparently I have them correct but there's a cammed shaft on the upper outter link that changes the amount of draw through it's lift range,It's cool how a little bit of geometry changes the action so much.

Would it work with a chopper style frame, with a laid back head angle? Still, with no front brake it could never be a very safe and practical bike.

It has regular rim brake post's but not disk tab's I have a strumey archer xfd for it though.

Girvin... That's a name I haven't heard of in years..! I remember my brother had a Girvin Flex Stem on an Avanti MTB when we were growing up. We thought it was the absolute bomb..!!

That fork sure looks tough. Not sure how well that rearward moving compression would go though... interesting.
