Lurker from Texas

Greetings all, new guy here from Round Rock Texas.
I've been lurking over at the other forum, and here for a while too, as I've always been interested in energy efficient transportation.
I originally got interested in motorized bicycles because I think America has gotten too Luxury SUV oriented, so I looked at what the rest of the world used to get themselves around.

I like the idea I see here, since it gets back to the roots of how personal transportation became motorized in the beginning.
There's just something primal, and pioneer-ish about it.

Well I finally found a bike that I'd like to take a shot at motorizing, so I'll post up some pics in the appropriate forum, and hopefully get to know a few of you better as I work my way through getting motorized myself.

I recently found this bike languishing in my fathers garage, and I thought it might be a good platform for me to finally jump into motorized biking.
The tires are dry-rotted and need to be replaced, and it needs a good thorough cleaning, but other than that it's not too bad. There's very little surface rust, and everything works, and check out those fenders, they're nearly pristine.
This thing is about 30 years old, and built like a tank.

Problem is, I'm having trouble deciding on a kit.
None of the 4-strokes seem to come with a drive sprocket that will work on the Drum Brake rear wheel.
I like the looks of Pablo's/Ghost0's jackshaft design, but it seems to just be for the 2-strokers.

Am I just out of luck? :|

Hi blacktop. Welcome to MBc!
Swop out the entire back wheel/axle set up with another. (if you want a 2 stroke) Or get a 4 stroke GEBE (golden eagle) advertized to the right) and change nothing. Or get another bike at a garage sale for 20 bucks and start there?

Thanks graucho, I've been lurking a while, and I've searched, and read Large's posts on his coaster brake issues, but the thing is I kind of like the Drum Brake so swapping it out would be a last resort.
It's bigger than a common coaster brake, so I don't thing drilling the hole larger will work.

I'm beginning to think I may have to use one of my other bikes. :-/

Either that, or I'm gonna have to put my Southern Engineering Cap on.

The jackshaft setup that GhostO is coming out with would be the hot setup for that bike. Only for 2 stroke at first but he says 4 stroke also in a few months.
