They have tried to do them several times for competitive MTBs, even the light riding XC guys end up breaking them. Plus when they break you replace the whole wheel instead of just the part that broke. You're better off on a set of freeride/DH wheels, they're tougher, lighter, and easier to fix when things go wrong.

Thanks for the link as I want to buy a set of those mag wheels.

They don't sell from the website directly and say you have to go
through your local bike shop.

I tried to buy the mag wheels from Imperial Cycles but they don't
answer their phone or return calls.

yes, I know that I can get them on eBay.......

Yup wut this guy said. Conventional Spoked wheels are stronger by far.
