M Mile High Chop-Ped Guest Mar 9, 2007 #2 All of the bike engines have Magnetos to generate the power for the spark. Some use the CDI unit to time the discharge others have good old points. The Chinese engines that most of us have all seem to use the Magneto and CDI combo.
