This may be helpful for anyone interested in making their own copper gaskets. In this video he makes gaskets for a Kawasaki Z1 Super Six but the same tools and process could be used for making motorized head gaskets.

Have you checked out Wrench's. Tutorial? He does his own gaskets and for friends. Should see what he has for gasket making tools. @Wrench. I hope that works to link him. Lol. If it does, Damien taught me that. 😆

Yes I have thanks. I just bought a piece of 22 gauge copper to experiment with. All the copper gaskets I can find are 0.50mm - I believe that, with my head, I am better off with a thicker gasket. The aluminum gaskets are usually 0.70mm - 22 gauge is 0.759.

Having made a few Copper M/B head gasket before. Tin snips tend to bend the copper plate and a step bit tends to push through the copper sheet leaving unwanted raised edges. A cheep Harbor Freight step bit will probably grab the copper sheet and destroy it.

You'll notice I put the copper sheet between 2 pieces of wood before trying to drill it. There's a reason for hat

Just in case others want to see the method I use
