Hey guys! Been a while. My minarelli died a while back but I've been extremely busy this whole summer, I took off the cylender and there wasn't even the slightest scoring. I'll throw in a picture. I have a new Athena cylender and piston and putting it on is very straightforward and I'm not worried about that. My question is the minarelli wouldn't start, and I haven't thrown the Athena on yet, and it died by while I was riding if I went full throttle it would bog like there was no spark. I tried changing the plug but it might've been a bad plug.the only thing I can think of is cdi magneto carvueration or spark. It had compression. Me and my friend have 4 days to prepare our bikes to be ready to take and drive around on an island a while away. I'm bringing tools and a yd100 spare if any of ours break, I know it's ridiculous but, so whaddya guys think?

Update: I don't have any pics with the cylender off but trust me there isn't a single ameking on it, she looks brand new both the piston and cylender!

It's hard to tell from the pics for sure but the top ring looks chipped or damaged in more than one place. If your kit is a Chinese kit, then it needs the ports chamfered. If you leave the port edges sharp the ring can hang up.

Nothing obvious. You should always have a spare CDI anyways.

Okay. I'm throwing on the Athena cylender piston and bar it comes with. Supposed to be way higher quality. Also adding a new cdi. If it doesn't start after this I'm changing magneto and removing Killswitch, although I've never had any problems with a Killswitch before. I also need to make sure it's not grounding out on the bike frame itself, probably wouldn't be a bad idea to wrap some electrical tape around the connections if it works. Wish me luck! The Athena also comes with newer rings, everything is much more heavy duty.
