Minarelli Builders Thread

An honest company would just make parts and first come first served... No games no favorite but Zeda motorsports doesn't operate this way.... I went about it differently and tryed to get the bottom end before diving into the full motor thinking I could use the clutch and cranks for something else and not have a motor waiting on springs or whatever... I'm only out the shaft and bearings and some moon keys... And can recycle everything thing else... $200 down...

Certainly a bit of false advertising. I wouldnt have fronted $165 if I knew the order time was open ended.

I have cranks no motor and you have it the other way... Either way it's just wrong... If everyone had there parts at once it would be able to share information and tech that's not what they want... Only they have a complete motor with everything and until they come up with something better you wait...

One day maybe it will show up. Just bought a Stage 6 oring head from them via eBay for $12. Go figure.

Ryan mentioned if the order is under $6k there's going to be a wait... A few parts is nothing to them and I'm not helping to sell that quantity... The only people who love these guys build hundreds of motors and have big orders and the leftovers is for everyone else...

DLH has 2.5mm shims for the bottom end... One could combine DLH and RDM parts and come up with something... I haven't gotten a pile of DLH yet but he's almost guaranteed my business...

If I can get DLH stuff with out a headache with Half orders and 8 months waiting and terrible customer service... I wonder who's going to get my future business... The only thing I don't like about the 3 spring clutch is it sticking out of the case cover... A shroud from a dead pull start for some Wacker to cover the moving parts and I'm going that way... Going to try it anyway...

He shipped fast to me, just over a week total. I am going to use a cut down large pvc pipe cap bonded to the clutch cover to eliminate pants shreading. Doesnt seem to threaten most folks as they run em open. Better safe than sorry!

Could drill the cap and use screws from the back side to help the bond... I'm going to check out the Stihl dealer down the street for any junk... Something like this would be sooo cool on an saw jug motor...
