Blew up the minarelli finally. That engine was awesome but she is blown up to the best of my understanding, cracking the engine today after school and have a really high quality cylinder and piston on the way, i think the brand is nakuto or something like that. Really good reviews nevertheless. Basically I was riding with my friends on their four wheelers I was on the bike and then for some reason it started to have WAY less power than usual. So I let her cool off and then I went to start her, way way way less power then ever, and then it started making this horrid noise. If i yank the clutch in, she still rev's up just fine but while riding its either bogging or dying. To the best of my knowledge its not the carb, plug, magneto, or anything of the sorts, plus, the piston is due for a change. I might try some light port work on this new cylinder. Lets see how this new chapter goes.

I put easily 500 miles on that engine while beating it up so bad, so I got a lot o life outta her

No, you did not...I have an El Cheapo Seeutec motor that I put on over 6,000 miles before the bike frame broke and I put that motor on a shelf...It will still run.

500 miles on a motor is nothing...You did NOT get a lot out of it at all.

Ps...Heck, Even the Zeda 80 I had that finally seized up because the factory had installed the piston in backwards got me 1,300 miles before it seized up, I wouldn't be impressed with a Minerelli at all if 500 miles, even if beat on, is the best your gonna get outta it...lol...lol.

If that is the best you can do, just buy the cheap crap motors, Why waste big bucks on Minerelli's or other expensive motors if you think the best you can get is 500 miles out of them...Save your money.

I know I can get good miles with a normal china doll or yd100 but they're just no where near as fun. Does the symptoms that I listed sound like an engine seizure or maybe something else? I don't know but in 1 hour i'm gonna be taking that thing apart

And when I say beat on, I mean rev limiter, holding it at WOT for 5 minutes, taking it off roading, just basically treating it worse than a dirtbike, to be honest, I don't know how the frame didn't snap.

Piston is wrecked cylender looks reusable I got a new one otw though so I'll just keep this as a spare. What's y'all opinions?

Depends on how deep those scratches on the cyl are
Hone it, slap in a new piston and ride it some more

The cylinder has barely any damage whereas the piston is almost gone. I'll take it to my dads and hone it and just keep it as a spare, maybe try some of my good ol fashioned port work on it. Gonna have someone help me port my new cylinder just a little. Don't wanna loose any low end just gain some power.

Got these 2 beasts on the way I don't wanna use the stock piston this one has phenomenol reviews.
