Monumental screw up contest!

While changing the oil on my Whizzer M/B I forgot to put the oil drain plug back in
Good thing it was only 8oz of oil that spilled onto the floor

I caught a riding mower on fire and melted half the wiring harness doing carb work too. Took me a little while to find the fire extinguisher, and the float was stuck on the carb and it just kept dumping gas onto the fire. I ended up repainting it, fixing a few wires, and putting a new carb on it and selling it for 500 bucks. I got that mower for free

I left the lower heater hose undone on the LUV when I started dumping coolant in the radiator. Good thing I started with a gallon of water and not the concentrate

12 yrs old
One of the dumbest things I did was to reach down and check the tension on a bicycle chain while I was still riding the bike

Yep you guessed it, I peddled and my finger went right into the sprocket and one of the sprocket teeth went right thru my finger
Of course natural reaction was to pull my finger out, ripping it wide open, Oops

Tied a gas can to the back rack of my bike but failed to notice how far the end of the rope hung down lol
At around 35mph you guessed it the end got wrapped up in the hub.... Came to an IMMEDIATE stop lol
Bent the rack down onto the back tire, took 2 ppl to bend it back enough for me to get home lmao
I could play this game for days 😬

Used to drive around CA with a 72 vega with the fuel pump out. Had a 5gal bucket sitting on the pass side floor filled w/gas using an electric fuel pump to supply. Open lid, smoking cigarettes etc. Not wise folks, do not do this.

Were you trying to prove Darwinian theory by competing for the Darwin award that year???...lol...lol...lol.

Not motorized bike related, but R/C related.

I was removing the back-plate on an engine that was gummed up, It fought me a bit, so I fought back, I finally removed the back-plate and was greeted by a big chunk of aluminum.

Evidently, the piston head sits in a groove of the back plate if engine is in BDC, the fighting was the piston skirt getting broken off.
