part of a lamp-base...it went right in there like it was made for it...cool, huh?

(it's convex, and it fits in there like a washer, it was too easy)

no, it's not running yet, everythings all cleaned, lubed, adjusted, etc, & waiting for my magneto. like i said before, tho, if you have to be pedaling, it's more fun on something that looks like this...

Do you remember the old office lamps with the flexable metal post?
It looks alot like braiding.

Ive got some of the braid looking flexy metal stuff for the clutch cable as a heat protector.
