Great looking bike, I dig the tank. Board track bikes are making a comeback for sure.

Well the car show went off great.I'm glad thats over, but I'm alittle bumbed my little bike didn't get any trophy's.The response was great though, and I have the judging sheets.I even got a realy nice 8x10 picture of my bike free.
There were times I was realy stressed out. Most of the show there were around atleast 5 people around my display. They had more questions than I had answeres. They freeked out when I told them the motor ran on alcohol, and was an easy 16+hp.
When I get my 8x10 scanned I'll ad it to this post.I should also have some new pictures of my next project. Its almost done, and yes I have some in progress shots. Thanks To everyone in here :D :D Rod

Retro Bike

Very Nice!!! Tho the Enforcers in the Socialist Republic of Kalifornica would never let me street a bike like this!
Augi, there is an example of "Inline Offset" that we were talking about, except he's using a chain primary so he can use that auto-clutch, then migrating into a belt-drive.
To the builder, I'm currently working on another AM build, this time an OHV exposed pushrod, exposed rocker, modified Whizzer. This time I'm hoping to add a bunch of really cool detail. Feel free to PM me if you like.
I'm looking forward to seeing waht you do next, Mike

holy carp! thanks for waking this one up...there's a very home-buildable drivetrain, and i forgot all about it being here 8)

Augi,do you remember the pic.I posted it was of a bike I saw on Ebay?It used the pedal sproket as the rear drive sproket. You had mentioned that I left out the link to ebay.
My next project is very simular to that bike.I pushed large bearings in the pedal housing, and used a 3/4 rod for a jackshaft. Thanks to Dax's 50T rear sproket. It will be all chain drive on one side.I'm using a rather large 2 stroke snowblower motor for power, and a standard bicycle frame.I did some reinforcing, and put an offset motor plate on the frame.I should have some pictures posted in a couple of days.I'm trying to get the frame primered, and in paint. :D Rod

Rod, did you make the first frame or was it from the early 1900's?
Did you use conduit clamps to hold the tank to the top bar?
Excellant work man!
Keep it up!

Hi Doc.
No I made the first frame Doc,but this one is an old bicycle frame. It's been slightly modified as you can see in the pictures.I added the straight top bar, motor plate, bracing, ignition plate(side of seat post),and the footboards.Oops, and the brake pedal with a mount for the return spring.I also removed all the teeth on the original drive sproket, and added an activator arm.So it will use the coaster brake on the rear. Before I forget yes those are a conduit clamps on the first one. There easy to get,and are very authentic looking.
The next one uses a skinny round tank.I had to fab some straps, and made my own clamps(like the conduit clamps).I'll have some more pictures soon. That fender is also the real deal. Its made from a teens front fender. It fits great, but has about 8 different layers of paint. :D I also had to led in some dents, and holes.I'm also thinking about mounting a teens(Indian) chainguard.

You can tell that you are meticulous. Damn Fine work. keep the pics comming in.
