Hi all,

My Morrow hub is not really braking that well.

I took it apart and the sleeve has the brass "brake shoe" grooves that are pretty well worn right out to a smooth surface. I know I should replace that.

My first question is how much is the actual inside of a hub affected when the shoe has so much wear? Do I need to hone it or something? Or should I replace that too.

My Morrow hub is quite rusted on the outside but the wear surface inside seems ok but I can an NOS hub with nice chrome for about $55.

My second question is, is it best (new brake surface) and cheaper (no chroming needed) to simply get the NOS hub or should the surface be ok on the old hub and just have it re-chromed?

Thanks..... Wayne
