Most awesome friction drive system

Good thing it doesn't go very fast- look ma - no brakes!
Why would one go to all that work and delete being able to stop.
Where is the guy from?

From the look of the bike, it seems to me that he was only riding it for the purpose of taking a video; demonstrating the concept and engine design. It's also a point to note that he is riding quite slowly.

I agree that the bike should have brakes and i'm an advocate of motorized bicycles being fitted with the largest and most powerful disk brake systems on the market, but in this case the bike looks like nothing more than a demonstration of concept rather than a usable form of transport.

That is an amazing bit of ingenuity to make something so artful out of next to nothing.

revisiting the 1890-1940s or so area of engines. Before this was steam engines and a lot more parts where visable. Now take a look at gasoline hit and mis engines

I've probably seen that video a dozen times, and I'm still
amazed that the damn thing actually works.
