might be a $10 doorstop?

Can anybody tell me what this engine might have powered? It's belt drive, with a funny centrifugal clutch. Has a springloaded pin on the cylinder head....compression release??

I could use that boat motor

srdave, I'm not 100% sure, but it looks like an old moped,or perhaps a snowmobile. If it didn't have the belt drive it may have been one of those Funky first personal watercraft.I'm betting snowmobile myself.
If you should decide to get rid of it please let me know.I has a small picklefork(boat) I built. It could use a powerplant, and its only about 4'X8'. :D :D

Motobecan Engine

Thats for a Motobecane Moped, Very good engines. I always thought they would be easy to adapt for a motorbike

It's a motobecane av7 engine and parts are pretty easy to find for them. Would be great for a motorbike because there's gobbs of performance parts for them. I have a box full of engine cases and cranks and random parts. Working on this now actually.
