Motor killing when idling if i dont give it some gas

yeah title says it all... i have changed around with the idle screw but it aint working....

need some help...

Check carb to intake joint (I wrap with teflon tape to prevent leaks), intake gasket, torque on head nuts. (8 lb/ft - use a torque wrench, easy to overtorque and bugger up)

i had the same problem, engine works just fine if im moving but would stall when stopped. turned out that the clutch wasnt disengaging fully, adjusted it and it works fine now

Won't hurt to check your mixture either,& maybe even bump-up your idle speed slightly,after the problem is diagnosed.

so tighten the clutch? (in simple words lol)
