Motor running bad

I noticed bubbles around my spark plug and I took it out and checked it it was black cleaned it off put it back in and now bike seems to be running bad any thoughts and ideas

Re gap the plug to .025"
Check around S/P for a compression leak.

Is the motor painted? I had to scrape off excessive paint around the plug hole to get a good seal.
