Motorbike Chaps? Leg protector?

Hi All,

So I learned my first ride a few months ago why you don't wear shorts when mb'ing with the HT engines. I now have a nice cooling fin scar that looks pretty cool actually.

However, as the weather continues to get hotter and more brutal here in MoCo MD, has anyone found a way to wear shorts while riding while protecting their legs? Almost like an inner knee pad?

My wife is a seamstress and I was thinking of having her make something, anyone be interested in the pattern?

Maybe its that I've been riding a Moped since I was very young, but I ride my MB and moped both all the time in shorts. On the moped its the tailpipe that will get you right on your ankle, and you learn quickly how not to have your feet on the pedals. Never had an issue on the MB. Maybe get some longer socks and pull them up?
