Motorized bike on a bus rack?

Has anyone tried putting their motorized bike on a bus bike rack? If so, what kind of reactions did you get?

here, it depends on how individual bus drivers feel about it

some folks put a big sack over motor so the driver doesn't notice

Ive often thought of this. good source of a cheap tow.

Here in Phoenix the bus rack is in front.
No gas there or on the light rail.
Electrics however are OK.

I think it's different all over the place, but I would check with the transit organization's website or ask a driver before you try. For me, I live in Whatcom county Washington right now and I found out by looking at their website: http://www.ridewta.com/bikes_on_busses

In most places they refuse to carry anything that carries gasoline.

But you could give it a try. If the driver says no, then you know that you won't get away with it.

But watch out! These bikes are heavy!
