So I’ve been looking on here and reading. And I was thinking about trying to do a ms440 cylinder. Thinking about trying something different then the China dolls and they seem to be some ripper engines and it sounds like it’s easier then a ms660 cylinder. Anyone have any recent info on what I’d like to do. All I seen are old a** threads.

I did one. Problem is the (6mm) bolt pattern for the ms440 is just enough different where they overlap the 8mm by half. I threaded in aluminum bolts and lopped the tops off, made an adpater plate (.187" for me) to get the squish right and match the transfers. My problem was the 6mm threads couldn't go deep enough into the case and they easily pulled out (the case-half bolts interfere). In hindsight, would have TIG'd the bolt stubs in, but think I'm just gonna grab a new case and throw it on the Bridgeport and drill/thread right through the case bolts next time.

In the mean while, just stuck a stock motor on for now. :(
