Must Read before installing a billet FW on a Predator

We're you using Virtual Foundry filament and sintering?

That's pretty much the only company I know of that sells high percentage metal filament.

I actually discussed working with them as many of they're offerings hadn't even been tested.

The printing I was referring to though is a number of different processes. Primarily SLS/Laser Powder Bed Fusion.

It's significantly different where the part is sintered (metal powder fused or melted) with a laser and doesn't require a post processing sintering.

Those machines have a considerable cost in the order of around 100,000$ But there are many companies that can produce parts from CAD files for relatively inexpensively.
Oh, I thought you were referring to the filament fed machines like most plastic printing is done with because they do have metal filament.

You may or are likely to be referring to a composite filament where there is a small percentage of metal powders added for various reasons.

One is to produce objects that can be "weathered" producing a "patina" or oxide for aesthetic purposes (decorative appearance) sometimes for electrically conductive purposes or to have more mass for one reason or another.

There is actually filament that has such a high percentage of metal in it it's basically metal powder with a binder in filament form that once printed can be post processed in a kiln/furnace to obtain a functional fully metal part.

It's not exactly easy but I could do it if I had the filament and a sintering furnace. I'm very (pretty dang good) at 3D printing. I first did it in 2014 before it was basically a commonly known thing.

I've been 3D printing a bunch over the last 4 years and have now recently started learning CAD design.

For around 2,000$ I could literally start a mini factory producing pretty much anything that a MB could need.

Sorry to Mr. Whiteman for promoting myself in such a way here but this is one of the things I'm the most passionate about and think it would be an awesome way to contribute to MB enthusiasm.
