My 76 year old uncles bike

A bike I built for my uncle, was a fun project. There was a bunch of learning and customizing involved. The bike runs really smooth, hard to tell if you’re riding a bicycle or a motorcycle, really a different ride. These motorized bikes are really fun, a good fun thing to do, definitely addictive. This was my second build and I’m already starting on the next one! Lol

Hope the fenders got reinforced. There was a recent thread on fenders coming loose.

Ill admit I was warned...

Just to start off with, fenders look sick, but they come at a price. I love the look of fenders on a bike, and I would love to keep them, but I should have taken the 5 or 10 minutes to reinforce mine. My bike is an older Huffy Newport. It's an amazing frame, and it has fenders. I was headed...

Yeah I reinforced the fenders, made new mounting tabs out of thicker steel and riveted them on with two stainless rivets with brass washers on each side , then put a strap of aluminum up underneath the whole length of the fenders with rivets and jb weld. They barely wiggle now.

I have had generations of friends kids growing up and calling me "Uncle Damien" since the 1980s...I can always use another "nephew" who will build me a bike...lol...lol...lol.

Damien, can I ask you what size tires you're using on these mag wheels? As I'm really interested in them (thanks to you posting them!). I'd like to use 26 x 2.125 at a minimum. I'm thinking of converting my Huffy over to this during the winter months. Here are the links to both the Kevlar tires...
