My chop chop

Hi im from Oz and this is my 2 stroke Schwinn in progress... I've done the usual mods including a severe dose of heavy porting.

I got bored so I polished the engine covers to a mirror finish - I reckon this looks much better than the same crappy slotted cnc covers that everybody has.... I also did a little porting and port-matching with the inlet manifold...

I've ordered a aftermarket cnc head as well as a 4 litre fuel tank that should arrive very soon... I'm gonna give the head a skim to raise the compression slightly just to give it shooting match a little more oomph... let's see what happens aye... lol

Check it out

The cnc billet 28 tooth sprocket is the absolute smallest that can be mounted onto the 3-point hub adaptor as the heads of the 3 bolts just clears the chain, the 6 holes on the sprocket originally designed for mounting the sprocket using the disc brake rotor hub flange were tapped and fitted with spring-type helicoils, the disc rotor was then mounted to the billet sproket using a custom-made spacer - the chain clearance from the disc rotor is barely 1mm to make everything fit inside the limited width /space available to work with. I was surprised myself that I'd managed to get everything to fit as the clearance between all the components (sprocket / chain / disc rotor / frame) were all no more than 1mm .....

Very nice bike, in your previous pic there looks like no room for the chain, maybe a mm.
To be honest, I was seriously having doubts throughout the entire time whilst working on it... it wasn't until the rear wheel went back on that I started asking how on this Earth did I get around that ?!? Anybody that's dropped a China-girl into a Schwinn chopper will tell u that a rear-disc brake setup is next to impossible without the headache of having to replace the hub with one that's got the 6-bolt flange to accept the brake rotor... and the if u've bitten the ullet (and blowing your face off in the process lol) and decided to actually do it, you are still stuck with the daunting task of sourcing the EXTRA WIDE hub to work with the 4 inch wide rear rim...
So yea .... it felt extremely rewarding to have nailed it on the head..

This pic here will give u a good indication of the space I had to work with - once the chain went on the sprocket, there was less than a millimetre of clearance to the brake rotor.... I had to bring the 3-point adaptor in towards the centre of the hub as far as it would go to make as much room as possible for it all to fit...

Tidied up the cables - Got some 7mm brass tubing which I cut small sections to solder to the ends of my custom length throttle cables so I don't have excess chunks of unnecessary cables all over the place.... looks a lot more tidier.

I will eventually hide all cables inside the frame but I'll do that when I pull her down to respray.

Just installed the bellmouth.... I love it ! Had to offset the manifold to make it fit...no biggie.

Here's the link to the deal on Ebay if anybody's keen. This one is the 58mm / 60mm version but this seller does other sizes as well.
