He just turned 72, and is now bored with tractors. 6 months ago someone gave him a small electric scooter. Target had a recall on that model, so we took it in and got $200 and bought a new one. Then he saw an electric bicycle on ebay. 2 months later, now he has 14 electric bicycles, and it has fallen to me to get/keep them all running. To finance this latest adventure, I am also selling 12 tractors and 2 mg midgets. :sweatdrop:

    At least he's having fun!

It sounds like he's having fun, Charles...and welcome to MBc. It sounds like you are doing a good job of keeping "the thumb of reason" on his pulse. Just make sure you keep your "eye of reason" on the finances...this hobby can get away from you before you know it. Good Luck.

LOL, if you're selling 12 tractors and two MG's, your Dad can afford it.

Try recommending a three-wheel recumbent (if he's spry enough to fit into it, lol) and a quality trike. An electric hub can easily mount onto the front wheel, and there's tons of room for the batteries. :detective:

And then there's ICE (internal combustion engines)!:jester:

I'm a few years younger than your Dad, and loving every day I commute to work!
