Ya gotta be careful and not spray it on too thick. Because the over flow will ooze down the cylinder walls and gum up the piston rings.
I don't use it on my M/B. I use a fresh copper gasket
But I do use it on my M/C muffler gasket, to hold it in the Cyl while I put on the exhaust pipe

Copper sheet will cut fairly easy with a hefty pair of scissors, it's not that hard. The hardest part is the bolt holes, it's handy to have a hole punch for them.
