My first project...help

Spend the tiny extra bit for these cheap 2 stroke kits, you'll see much less issues down the road. I suggest www.bicycle-engines.com, good parts and customer service. Get the cheap kits and you'll spend more in the end to make them reliable. Avoid gasbike and kingsmotorbikes(same company), if any issues you gotta fix yourself and take the hit. Not all kits are the same although they look like they are.

Dan's right on this. The skyhawk has a large mounting area cast into the case, but it also has larger mounting studs 8mm instead of 6mm. You should call them to see if they know of a mount that will fit their mounting bolt spread. The flat plate provided is not a good way to mount because it puts all the bearing on a small surface of the down tube. If you use it I suggest putting tubing between the mount and frame to reduce the pinching effect it will cause by the sharp flat edges on the round frame.

Word okay thankyou I'm definitely going to purchase from bicycle engines, thankyou I kinda had a feeling kings motor was iffy because they never answer the phone

I appreciate all the knowledge cuz I want something reliable and fun thanks
Oh also any reliable brake system I could purchase

Well, i just noticed the pic, if that is the bike you certainly are using, you won't need to worry about mounts, but do upgrade the stock mounts hardware. As far as brakes, you can use the coaster brakes with a few mods to the coaster brake arm etc.

There is a method to install those mounts on that frame tube if you ever wanted to change carb position etc.
