My motor won't start and the motor is also brand new. Came with a bad spark plug, fixed that issue and was able to get it to a point where it seems like it wants to start, but nope no go. I’m thinking I there may be an issue with carb. I even tried to spray starter fluid in the carb to see if that would help, but of course it didn’t. It almost seems like it’s not getting gas. But there is def gas in the carb, there’s a little button on bottom of bowl, when I press it has comes out soo… ??? I don’t know what’s up??

I'd start with checking for spark. Pull the spark plug, put it back into the boot, and ground it to the block. Crank the engine over and see if it sparks.

Next stick your finger over the plug hole while turning motor over to see if it has compression.

Also these came with my kit too and I have no idea what they are for, does anyone know what they might be used for by chance?? Also, I do have spark. I’ve tried starting it both with and without choke. I’ve also tried using ether aka starting spray. It fires like it wants to run, but it doesn’t. It just teases me instead lol

Those pieces are the clutch, bevel gear, and drive sprocket removal tool.

Aahhhh I see, thank you very much for letting me know!! I was kinda baffled by them lol. But hey, on a positive note, I was finally able to get my motor running yesterday!!

I will say though, I don’t think that it is really running the way it should. It runs and drives, but it doesn’t really want to idle. So I’m pretty sure that I need to make some adjustments on it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Have you tried adjusting the idle speed with the screw on the side of the carburetor?
