Nebraska Motorized Bicycle Laws

Most have basic laws, sure. There is even federal regulations to go with it. Those were done more to create a dividing line between an electrically assisted bicycle and what is essentially a motorcycle with pedals. People are really good at finding those grey areas and exploiting them - like guys with 4000W bicycles that go 60mph.
Yeah, Tennessee has divided e-bikes into 3 classifications.

Just give them some time is all Davee...lol...I'm sure there is a brand new, tin badge god, rookie, fresh outta the academy, salivating for a bust, that will spot ya sooner or later and play "Barnie Fife" all over your poor butt...lol...lol.

(Ask him if he's got his bullet in his pocket, that usually goes over real good with them)...lol...lol.

Nice to see you here again by the way...lol.
You are exactly right and I probably should wear a helmet or at least get my liscensce back but that wouldn’t be no fun it’s been 20 years I lost it for not paying a speeding ticket lol

A while back, I'm sure I've mentioned it before but here goes again.

I was chatting up a couple guys who have nice e-bikes, they were quite proud of themselves as they had hacked the limiters and were able to go as fast as they dared.

Good for them I suppose. Just bothers me that a simple gas bike has become verboten just because it burns a cup of gas to go 10 km.
