Flat or curved makes no difference because when you load the roller, it deflects the tire 1/8 to 3/16 inch. The tire will conform to a flat roller.

Yep Kerf, I gotta agree with ya, unless of course their running 120 lbs PSI in their tires because then you would have to push the roller down around 140 lbs.
