need better brake system

HI IM ANDREW
i looking for a better brake system then the coaster brake that has broke
the brake arm has impacted round
if there is a better brake system that stops as fast as the coaster brake system
thats the one that i want

Well

You basicly have 3 choices

1. coster brake
2. hand brakes i.e. V-BRAKES
3. Disc. Brakes

You might be able to add the V-brakes, and the disc would require a new wheel with disc, and then there are clearence issues, might be cheaper to just get a new bike with V or disc brakes.. What king of engine are you running.

I have only seen front drum like the stormy archer setup for 130 bucks..

Get a "top hat" mounting bracket for your rear sprocket, and get it up off the spokes and fixed around the rear hub. Then use the sprocket itself as your rear brake rotor, with the caliper between the power and return sides of your chain loop. Basically, a sprotor system. At least one guy around here has done that.

Seems to me to be the ideal system.
