need measurements

can anyone get some dimensions for me so i can see if an engine will fit inside my frame? sort of a plumb line from the top down to the bottom when mounted would be cool too. i've been thinking on the 49cc if the size on these is alot different. ive looked at the friction drive models but i would like to keep my panniers so those are out.

anyone ever shaved down the fins on the head? do you think it would hurt much if you took off just a little?

my sidecar bike has 4 fins that have been removed to allow it to fit on a 20 inch frame. doesnt seem like its make a huge impact.

any body tried to mount one any other way than in the diamond?
