I dunno about you guys, but for some reason, it seems like things can never be easy sometimes.

This is one of those times.

I'm stripping the Hyper so I can take the frame/forks to be powder coated.

Unfortunately... the damn seat post is JAMMED in. It's not budging.

It's at a height very close to where I would put it anyway... so i'm thinking about just having the damn post powder coated with the frame, but man, I'm not too keen on that if I can help it.

Any tips on how to pull a massively jammed post out of a seat tube?

...tried liquid wrench. No go.

... just tried the heat gun. No go.

It's not budging. I think it's jammed in to that "corner" in the seat tube.

Was it rusted in or bent?

Rusted in... obvious the bike sat outside for some time.

Well, fill the seat tube with vinegar for a day and it will eat away all the rust.

It's scheduled to be powder coated tomorrow. I'll do that when it returns.

They are going to acid wash that frame before they powder coat it. You shouldn't need to.

Yeah, I didn't think about how they were going to strip it. I sort of figured hey had a media blaster...
