When Bobby Orr was asked why he always wore a cup
but not a helmet, he replied:
"I can always get someone else to do my thinking for me!"

Very BAD advice, fun intended or not. I am not amused.

I don't have a problem with folks who don't wear helmets after all it is a free country but don't expect me as a taxpayer to foot your medical and disability bills from the decision you made if you ever wreck.

It's a touchy subject around here, to some of us.

I see this thread possibly turning ugly. I will be watching it closely and I will lock it or move it to the CC in a heart beat!

    Getting back OT
Helmets are no joke. I broke one back in the 70's in a crash on my dirt bike. I believe it is why I'm still here now.

I agree with RdKryton, wearing or not wearing a helmet is not a matter to joke about.
If you don't want to read it all, just read post #8.

By the way Bloodeagle, Bobby Orr was a defenseman, not a goal tender.

This isn't UseNet, no need for personal abuse, bloodeagle.

A helmet in a car - now that is safe.

Y'all don't seem to get that Bobby Orr was a hockey player...doubt he was talking about motorized 2 wheel conveyances.
