I was laying in bed this morning planning my day and focused on a series of boxes in my shop that have no order at all. One or two are overflowing with caliper brakes that ought to be packed away. All of a sudden I focused on a Jap Schwinn spring fork clone that has a 1/4" horizontal hole for, I thought, a fender bracket. Suddenly I made the connection that it would accept a caliper brake for a balloon tire rim. Finally I have a decent front brake for the Schwinn classic with the Gru Bee in it. The fender bracket can be made from a stainless wall switch plate. KW

sounds awesome.. i wanted to experiment with calipers for the front, but dont have any and they seem expensive.

hope all is well and let me know if you feel like parting with any of them
