new cheap air filter

this is a air filter i picked up at checker auto for 5$, and just for s**ts and gigles, l wanted to see if l could make it fit on my carb, 30 min later it fit and works great. the 2nd pic l posted kinda shows how i put the screw into the air filter and then goes into the carb. hell for 5 bucks and some dremeling you to can beat it.

Cool! Did you do this to solve a particular problem? Or was this more of a cool thing to do?

more of a cool thing to try. to answer the other Q's l drilled 2 holes. 1 on each side, next l dremeled the back of the air filter alittle and screwed the bolts on through the air filter first and then into the carb. thats it, pretty simple to do. here is a ebay #130070055392, later guys

yeah I think I need to fashion something like this. I lowered the backpressure on the exhaust side, and the intake is starving the engine at high rpms. Good work, it looks sharp!
